Scratch Help

Ok--as I posted earlier..I got some kind of whiteish gooey water stains on my hood and I am unable to get them off...I tried the stoners tarminator...I think I rubbed a little too hard and put some light scratches on the hood as well..and the goo stuff did not come off...however...It seems I can scratch it off little by little with my fingernail, but there is quite a bit..any suggestions to help get this off? Will scratching it with my nail hurt the paint? I have normal size nails after all I am a guy

What are you wiping the car with?, use a slightly moist cotton towel....won't scratch your car. Try using some WD-40 (stuff is incredible at removing sticky shit off paint), its harmless....let it sit for 2 minutes, then try wiping the goo/sticky stuff off. Just don't leave any WD-40 on your paint, make sure its all off when your done (wipe it down with a separate clean moist cotton towel). You can try getting some tuff spots off with your finger nail, with the WD-40 on the paint after waiting the 2 minutes. You have a silver car, so don't sweat it.

This should work, at least a little if anything.

Use a little GS-27, then buff it out with 3M handglaze.

Who here has used the GS27 stuff? Does it wash off and hence have to be constantly re-applied? Does it really work???

You need wax and grease remover. I use ppg dx330 to remove tar and ish from my car. I also clean the comptech mufflers w/ it and they come out spotless. If you scratched your paint by rubbing too hard your hood may need to be buffed. A good body or detail shop can help.
