Save Current Location ????

Okay on the navigation screen when you hit the little satellite picture in the top left of the screen it brings up a new screen. The new one gives lat/long/elevation and an option to save current location? What does this do? I am hoping that it acts as a mark position button like Lexus has. Any one know what it does? And do we have a mark position button like they do?

If you hit save position. You can use it to go back to this location. It would be stored in previous destination menu. There is no Mark up icon for it on the map, sorry.

The lexus's "Home" button is awesome. All you gotta do is press that and it gets you home no matter where you are. I want it.

Once you store a location and it's in Previous Destinations you can easily and permanently add it to your Personal Address listings. Go to the Personal Address screen and click "Add New". Press the address entry area. The Navi asks you if you want to recall a Previous Destination. When you select the previous address it is stored and allows you to enter a new title for for it.

I use that button to remember where cops are on the toll road on my way to work.

The cop just sits on the exact same spot every day on the toll road and I always forget so I just first add the saved cops location then my work as todays destination. And then i just hit guide/map and it tells me exactly when im approaching that point. Saved my ass a couple times.

The things I do since I can't get a detector.

Now that is very clever. Not actually saving the location, but combining it with Today's Destinations. Keeps you on track to your ultimate destination with a warning along the way. Not bad.

You all should be thankful that radar detectors are legal in your state.
