Satellite radio ?'s

Well I think I have decided to get XM Radio over Sirius. I am kinda wary of the financial problems Sirius is going through, and I dont want my equipment to be worthless if/when they go under.

Now, I am curious as to how and of you have installed the equipment in your CL/TL. I have been doing the research and am at a cross-roads. Here's my dilemna; I want it to look nice, not ghetto. To me, wires hanging around my dash= ghetto. I can put up with my radar detector, but thats about it. I am leaning towards the Skyfi unit, but I can't seem to find any pictures to tell me whether it has a wire going to it or not. I really hope it doesn't. I would like to avoid getting an aftermarket headunit because I do not want to lose the use of my steering wheel controls, and I don't want the dash to look cheap. All the dash kits I've seen use a much lesser quality plastic grade than what is present on the CL dash, so I don't think it would look right. I think I would be happy with the FM Modulator I think because I for sure don't want a stupid wire hanging out of the tape player all the time.

Also, where should I get it installed? Stick with a major retailer or go to a smaller custom shop?

you got an HH Gregg up there in michigan? or Ovation...those are the two chain retailers that should have good installers

never go to best buy. If you have friends with good experience with a smaller shop and have the money, go to them!.

I have XM and although it is blessed with some commercials (yuk) they are benign in nature and they are usually short and sweet (Yeah) .I have the Pioneer reciever and it has a very small control panel that could easily be installed in the sunglass holder .See if you ca contact Types1967 .He has a nice installation in his sunglass holder ,perhaps he can show a photo of it .I have a VW GTI i buried mine in the ashtray .

I bought a Delphi Skyfi for XM, and it works great. I have enjoyed XM service. I used a Panavise Mount bracket, and it fits the Delphi next to my radio in an awesome, out of the way location. Check out the links. PM me w/ your e-mail if you want a pic-

The cheapest place I found the bracket was this:
