With all this talk about how great the super charger is supposed to be i thought i would post this. I was flipping thru motor trend when i saw the article on the comptech S2000. It has new wheels, springs, anit-roll bars, suspension braces, supercharger, header, and exhaust. Comptech says this bumps the hp up 100 hp but it doesnt seem much faster. It handles a lot better and brakes better but the performance doesnt seem worth the ton of extra money im sure it cost. Stock/comptech 0-60 5.20/5.13, 1/4 mile 13.84/13.45, braking 131/117 (much better), slalom 68.18/68.07. Not good IMO if you have to go to hundredths of a second to see the time increase.

Try reading the new sport compact car. It has the Comptech S2k in it and even shows you a dyno of before and after the SC. That thing kicks ASS.

Try checking out the video of what a supercharged S2K does to a stock car--it absolutely destroys it--with two people in the supercahrged car, one of them filming the stock car dropping away.

Let me ask you this.....the supercharged S2K is putting out 340hp to the crank compared to 240 for the stock---do you really think that is only worth a tenth of a second? If so, you need to recheck your sources. I can drop my spare tire and half a tank of fuel and gain a tenth!!!!
