S2000 update
this is per next months R&T the votech s/c with after cooler light weight wheels and toyo T1-S tires.... .10 faster to 60 and went from a 14.1 @99.6to a 13.8@105.6 1/4 mile claiming all of the gain in time came in the second half of the track ,partly due to the new tire/rubber setup which required a 1K rpm less launch or they ended up in smoke....moral to this story ...ya its mag times but look at there stock run 14.1....now why cant I or any other modded similarly cl-S have given the blown s2k a run in the 1/8th....the traps tell alot...they're coming on at the end...
please please keep this civil...

i think a nice twin screw with 50hp/lbft accross the board is what the s2 could use...granted the vortech makes power complimentry to the way the car already did in stock form...but alittle kick in the ass down low sure wouldnt hurt

yeah for drag racing a twin screw would be essential but this roadster with the vortech would kick some major ass in a SCCA events.
With the vortech i've seen a video where this car tops out at 175mph!!!!

typeR,
Correct!!!! That SMG2 is badass no doubt! Now what they need to do is add a dead clutch--not sure if this is the correct terminology or not--. It's used in LeMans cars to get the car moving but after that you use to electronic controls. I think the SMG looses something in straight line accel. Now the M3 is built from the ground up for twisties etc., but day to day use how often are going to encounter turns that somebody would face at laguna seca, lime rock etc.,

here some videos of a vortech sc s2000 in NoVa beating an Mcoupe. the evolution guys said the s2k would have pulled a lot more in a full 1/4 mile race.
