Exclamation Rotors Runout

Hi all,
I need a little help here. After reading the Helm's manual for the CLS, i'm thinking of doing the brake replacement myself (rotora slotted caliper and Rotora H2 ceramic pads, front and rear).

My question is about rotor runout. In the manual, they are recommending to always check the rotor runout when installing one. Could somebody please explain in plain english what rotor runout is??....i've tried to do some research, but i just couldn't understand this...

Also, for all of you who DIY your rotor, did you do this? is it really crucial step in installing new rotors? Any advise (or tips) would be helpful. Please let me know if threre is any caution in doing this DIY mod ...

Thanks all
