In this case it will be almost exact, given the pieces came off my car and will get some cosmetic changes to look liek they do in the PSed images. Also, these are not full bumpers, they just add on, so there is no need to worry about engineering revisions. We built the TL kit prototype from clay and foam, i can't see this taking any longer, actually alot quicker since it is so simple and clean. Hopefully we will have images in a month or 1.5 months. there is alot of preparation involved, making the plugs from foam and fiberglass. Don't worry about it tho, it will look sick, and will bring your CL back from the dead. This is what the CL needs, after all these years and mods, its the icing on the cake.

Ron,
am i seeing a difference between the front lip in these photoshop posts and the lip in the picture on your website (clkit1.jpeg) ?
the one in these posts seems to push out more in the front with a sharper point at the center. I realize these are p/s's and we gotta wait for actual work-in-progress shots or the final version but.....
i gotta say i favor what i think i'm seeing in the clkit1.jpeg.

Keep up the fine work!

Ron one other question.
what kind of black did you use on your perf. grills? gloss, semi-gloss or flat blk.

Hey Ron, question about the deposit....

if we put the $200 down now, what is the timeframe to get the rest of the money in?

Once it's done, which is presumeably 15 weeks from start. We started on Nov 11th. Between Feb-Mar.

It's a nice looking kit but I don't like the horizontal line on the bumpers where the kit attaches. If you ever came out with the bumpers without that line I'd be interested. I realize it'd be more expensive and you'd have to replace the entire bumper assembly I'd be interested but right now it looks like an add-on.

thats because... IT IS an add on... . lip kit add on to be exact. if you want it to look like a full bumper replacement why dont you just get it molded on once its installed?

True, as it is, we can't do a full bumper replacemnt. It is already costing more than it is worth and won't become a gain until we move quite a few of them. This isn't one of those products liek the TL kit, or Forged one piece Devotion-1pF where it apeals to vehicles still being manufactured today and in the next few years. The amount of CLs out there is VERY limited and, well, you get the idea. This is sorta a way to fill the void Acura has left by not doing a single kit for the CL.

Hey I know and it's a small market. I like the looks of your kit. I think it's great you're doing stuff on the CL. I saw a customer who had his TL fully done up in your kit. I'm just speaking on my opinion. No disrespect to you at all.

Hey Ron -
Out of curiousity, in the future, will you be selling the kit by individual pieces? I know you said no one can order individual pieces now but Im wondering if there are any plans for a change in the future. I going to be lowering my CL when I put your body kit on this spring, and being how terrible roads are around here I would kick my own @ss if I damaged a lip.
My friend has an 2002 Accord stock and he cracked the lower front bumper on the Sprain Parkway...im just alittle worried

Not sure yet, this is a vewry limited production item, so we will have to see if parting out will be an option. besides, if your friend damaged his stock front bumper on the sprain, he's got driving issues, becasue i drive every week on the sprain and GCP and the 5 burroughs with a kit and a 2"+ drop with 19" wheels, just got to be aware of your surroundings and be careful.

I know you are probably sick of questions but my concern is like Raptors.

What is your spring set up because I think I will be replacing the springs so the kit can fit? Car sits low on the Eibachs now I know there is no way I could get the kit.

Thanks!

same here. I am on H&R sports and it is a pretty low drop + chicago roads. I havent scraped yet, but I can only imagine another 2 inches lower what it will be like.

Well, as we all know, the cl is notorious for being a "high rider", with its long overhangs and floor height. So we addressed this two ways, with the shape of the front bumper being more vertical, rather than rounded under the car, and with a slightly lowered height of 1.5". If you have a 2-3" drop, anything will scrape, even OEM. The good thing is this, there is a slight indercut on the front lip that if scrapped, will not be seen from a standing person's view, and the kit is urethane, which means it can be pressed or scraped without structural damage, it will revert to it's orig shape and the surface can be repaired. I would even say that you can install a sort of protective custom clearbra from peel and stick foam to absorb the impace from scraping which won't be able to be seen from standing and will give you adequete protection. BTW, we will have pics very soon, I'm booked to be there by the 9th to help with the final design and sign off on the protoype. the sides are done already and the front / rear is roughly mocked up. Might have some pics before and after it is done. thanks again. This kit will be amazing, will be extremely classy and unlike any other kit in the market, CL or not.

I'm here in CAli, wearing flipflopsm and short sleaves, lovin it.
The kit is looking SICK in person, working on it as we speak with dust all over my laptop. We are just revising a few little details and making sure all the style lines are even. I will shoot the car when it's done on the 12th and post pics on the 13-14th. I am soooo stoked to put this kit on my car, and the Devotion 20" wheels are done too, I am dying to complete my car and get these products out to all the customers...

If anybody is on the fence about the kit or just want s to swing by and check out the kit, gimme a holla, my cell number is on the site's home page.

Rondy, I'm giving you a call tomorrow, I'm free between 10-11.

Time For Sleeep: email me at niteqwill (at) gmail.com, we can meet up and check it out if you have time. I see that you go to UCLA, but school hasn't started yet, so I dunno. Unless you are doing Winter intersession. I will be in Bell, CA all week.

25, finally hit the mark. really snowballed this past week. thanks for the support guys. regular prices have been posted on our website. $1090 for the full kit, and shipping has been calculated now that the kit is done and measured, comes out to $130 to anywhere in the continental USA, via UPS Ground, 2 boxes.
