I love the kit

How much should we expect to pay to get the kit painted and installed?

k2boy22 - Your PM box is full. Please clean it out.

RonDog - k2boy22 is interested in the front lip, where as I am only interested in the sides/rear. Can you provide the breakdown of cost of the $950 kit accordingly and ship it out separately? LMK Ron, so I can put the down on this.

Guys chill out for a little. Rondy is at SEMA so I doubt he'll be able to answer your PMs/emails/posts until he gets back.

I'm sorry, but i've been looking in and out of post for a few months now, looking for the right post to obsorb my 'newbie' remarks on. And I can't find a better one then this. That kit is perfect! No other word but perfect. Doubt if I can rally the funds asap (not till tax return,or christmas bonus)but will this be there. Meaning constant production. If that sounds like a stupid ?, please excuse me. I'm from Maxima.org (Very Mean People), both 3gen and 5gen, and they either don't make parts or discontinue after 10 are made. Will that be the case. And for the record, 03' Acura CL Black/Black, 6-speed w/ navi... MY BABY

I think if he sells all of the first 25 in the group buy, then he will make some available after that at a slightly higher price. I don't speak for ron though. My advice would be to get the deposit down and get in on the GB.

Does anyone know how much it should cost to paint all parts of the kit? Just a ballpark estimate from anyone that has experience getting lip kits painted....

Also, is it first come first serve with the deposits? cause I can save up a good amount of cash when the group buy goes from feb. march. I just still need alil' time to decide...

Guys I'm ijn the airport right now, coming back to NY from SEMA, and I am damn beat.

1. the exhaust tip openings will be just like OEM, since it is too hard to cater to everybody.

2. the kit won't be discountiued, as long as it doesn't completely flop, and from this inital response, it looks like it will be doing pretty well so don't worry.

3. it won't fit the tl as is, but we want to take it with the cl first, after that, we will consider adapting the same design to fit the tl.

4. paint cost can vERY, BUT IT WILL BE LIKE PAINTING FOUR REAR DEACK SPOILERS, THAT WOULD BE THE EQUIVILENT, SIZEwise (damn capslock). I'd say no more than $700 for paint and installation.

5. to place a deposit, just call in on monday, i'll nbe back in the office and will return all phone calls asap.

How will the exhaust tip thing work Ron, I thought the rear is an add on lip that makes the bumper go lower than stock...

Yeah, but the openings will be the same, flush with the openings on the orig bumper, the section between the tail pipes and the sections on the sides of the rear add on lip will be extended without altering the height and shape of the exhasut tip openings.

Very happy with that. I wont' have to pay an extra $50-100 to get my muflers lowered.

omg that looks fucking sweet.

can't wait for the prototype kit to come out.

Hey RJ, I just had a thought. Does that mean we '01's (and possibly '02's??) will have to get rid of the road lamps?

You can keep or lose the driving lamps, up to you.

And we currently have 10 deposits, already have the fiberglass plugs beinbg made, and I am pushing my guys to get it done even quicker than expected. So my car is actually getting fully detailed, the devotion-1pF's should be done around the same time and My CL will be back in its Glory once all these prjects are done. Can't wait. I can see 25 kits being sold eventually.

actually, I have to let you know that once the kits are done, the price will be going back to the MSRP of $1090 instead of the GB of $950. All we require is a $200 deposit now.

That's why i got mine in early . I can't f&$@en wait for this kit. I want to get my whole car repainted when i get the kit but i need to find some place around me that does quality work. I may have to go back to ny to get it done because the only places i've dealt with up here have done half ass shitty jobs. One place forgot to primer the bumper on my maxima and eventually the paint bubbled and just peeled off. Anyone in the boston/nh area know of a good paint/body shop that can do the work?

Do you have an idea of when to expect it to be finished and ready to be shipped?

I am hoping for 15 weeks at least from now. But after talking with my crew, It might be sooner. Not sure till we are knee deep into the kit. So Feb-Mar would sound right.
