Road trip to Cape Cod. Mileage Report and a corvette!
In 90-97 heat, we drove all the way from Nashua to the tip of Cape cod (Provincetown). A total of 337 miles.
I filled up in Boston midway to Cape cod, the computed MPG for the mixed HW/City 34 miles HW and 163 city/HW with intensive heat(97+), AC is set at 72, was a mere 19 MPG. 197miles for 10.3 Galons.
So, we drove to Provincetown driving 70% of the way at 70-80MPH, and got stuck in the tracffic (turtle pace)for a good 15 miles after the fireworks ended.
Came back to Nashua after some 287.4 miles. I filled up again.
The pump ticked at 9.1 Gal, filled up more to 10.3 Gal then slowly it sucked more up to 11 Gal.
So, What numbers should I use. Let us see
9.1 Gal for 287.4 miles... a High of 31.58 MPG
10.3 gal for 287.4 miles .... a Mid of 27.90 MPG
11.0 gal for 287.4 miles .... a Low of 26.12 MPG
I would say an average of 28 MPG for HW in 90-97 heat with a full AC at 72 is not that bad..
Yeah, we saw a black corvette zipping on the right side of route 3.. I was doing some 80+ in the left and the corvette V8 rambled like it was lion and flew by as if I am standing still... My wife was impressed to . Most likely he was doing 100+ MPH. The beauty is seeing the corvette accelerate at those hight speed.

We went there to watch the fireworks, we had no clue that it was as you described: :ghey:
It was truely as you described a place full of :ghey: and Lesbo
My wife and I got very very quickly...
Call me conservative, call me homophobic, call me whatever, the sight was not pleasant.
BTW, the fireworks sucked big time.
P-town gets :thumbsdn: :thumbsdn: :thumbsdn:
I will never step in P-town again
