Review of Conti's Continued

Ok, I was raving about the conti's before, but after a few thousand miles, Im beggining to not like the limitations of the soft sidewall, and I can see that the steering response is a little sluggish. The car is louder at 80+ and in the morning when the engine is cold, it feels like my car is vibrating for about a mile, then its fine. I dont know if its the car or tires, but never had the prob with my stockers. The handling is probably a little better than stock but not significant. The treadware is decent, i drive hard so i wanan rotate every 2500 (IS THERE ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT?). Basically I lost some steering response and some road noise, for excellent wet grip, a little better than stock dry grip, not that annoying squealing sound, and so far better treadware. At $86 a piece Id take these over stock any day, but I think I may go with the Yokohoma ES100 next time. And I still dont know what tire pressure the 215/50/17 Contiextremecontact's are supposed to be set at!

I've noticed the vibration in the morning too with cold weather. I have about 7000 miles on my Conti's... getting ready for my 1st rotation at my next oil change. I think there is a noticable increase in dry grip and definitely in wet grip. I also noticed slightly more noise and slower or heavier steering response. Basically my experience is identical to yours.

I agree with both of use, I had them on only for a week, but what both of uses have said, dry/wet are suitable, but I do feel that the car is a bit noiser! Overall a good bang for your buck!!
