i've explained this a few times, so i really don't want to get into it in full
do NOT remove the resonator and run with stock mufflers. it really really sonds raspy and horrible. you will be very embarassed.
if you have other mufflers like comptech , then removing the resonator will make your low exhaust note alot louder. it's a very clean bass sound, it's just that the volume of it is alot louder than normal. but it does sound very good, just too loud.
leave it on is the best thing.

And I've explained this several times:
First, which resonator? The one on the intake? It's not too hard to get rid of. There are instructions in a couple threads but you'll have to search for them. No negative effects.
The resonator on the exhaust? Read TypeSDragoon's post.

LOLOLOLOL, That's too funny, but seriously, I removed mine a coupla weeks ago (assuming your talking about the intake one), it was really easy, I'm not sure if the other posts talk about removing the little pins that hold the plastic bumper thingy in, but you have to pop out the center of the pins before you try and take them completly out.
Also the only negative thing, I find that my car has a bit of a hum when idling that it never had before, it's nothing major.
Postitives, at high rpm's it sounds a lot better, and I think you get a bit of a power boost, I notice a better 2nd gear kick.
My next project is going to be to run a hose from the bottom of the filter box to the bumper and use a piece of mesh to keep out big stuff.
Good luck, it's easy only took me less than 30 min, oh and you'll wanna jack up the front of the car on the drivers side, it makes it much much easier.
