Just wondering.... If your tranny went and you agreed to pay any of the additional costs incurred b/n auto and 6 speed, if acura would let you convert your car?? I asked my service tech and he said "That's gotta be expensive, but I'd do it if you asked."

Thoughts??

 

You would probably have to relocate your parking brake too, not to mention replace your VSA... etc

 

wait and mabye the 2nd tranny will grenade on you. then the only swap method I know they'll go for is the "lemonlaw" 6AT to 6MT swap.

 

no..i will not want to do that conversion..as VSA and LSD problem..hand brake problem..and money problem....

 

That sounds like it would cost more than you would lose on a trade to an actual '03. . . I'd be more worried about them not getting it as perfect as a factory '03 install. I'm actually surprised they said they'd do it, there's got to be lots of liability on their part accepting that big of a conversion.
