Attention

The legend guys now have a constant contact named Matt with autoaccessorystore.com to arranged group buys etc. I am sure he can work with you guys to arrange a groupe buy. the Mufflers alone cost around $300.

REMUS does make universal mufflers....legend owners get the turbo type because it has a 2.5 inlet vs 2.25 inlet. Remus coupled with headers and high flow cat ...on a CL will sound awesome..trust me

If you want quality, luxury, and elegance remus is the way to go. hands down.

Ps- i run magnaflow..lol..performance sake.

i think you're getting a little ahead of yourself there, bud.
someone should be the guinea pig and try these out first to see how they fit/look/sound before we start a groupbuy.

That car sounded pretty nice IMO, someone should order up a set of these and get them custom fit..

Wow, just saw this thread!

I posted this in the RL section because we are having a group buy over at acura-legend.com for the Remus specific exhaust but also universal, if you guys jump in we'll get better prices!

www.remusexhaustshop.com

AutoAccessoryStore is doing the GB on a-l.com but I believe RemusExhaustShop provides the exhaust.

And before you start even thinking about a group buy thread, you probably should start talking to Astroboy (Robb) since he's the admin in charge of groupbuys and vendor type stuff...

read Greenie's post above, if you or anyone else wants a groupbuy, they have to PM Astro. He has to give the go or no go for someone to post groupbuys.

i dont know if anyone of the CLers would participate in the group buy being that none of us really have an idea of what it would sound on our cars. all the video clips ive seen tell a different story. different V6's some sound amazing, some sound terrible. so yeah. and about contacting remus, i havent had any experience with gorup buy's so sorry.

Shouldn't the sound be similar to the Legend engine?

I'm not really knowledgeable on CLs.
Maybe they could do a demo CL? I don't know, we can't really count them out yet,

I think sound will be different between the CL and legend...One is dual exhaust and the other is single.

Alright so here is the deal.

As per my sig, I have comptech headers leading to a glasspack and straight back to Comptech cans.

Here is my thought... I can do it 2 ways.

Someone buys my Comptech's and pays me which will cover the cost of the Remus and once I get them put in i'll send the Comptech's out.

**OR** THIS IS WHAT I WOULD RATHER DO!!

I can get a set of used Remus cans but will need people to look for them. There is a set of used ones on ebay that were removed from a 300ZX. I was thinking to buy them and have a shop weld them to my exhaust.

I'll be the guinea pig for this if I don't have to spend that much money to get it done...

Donations??? I know you all want to donate money so that I can get it done. Haha

Why don't you contact Remus?
I'm sure they'd be glad to have a "test car" if it can bring in sales, no?

That could save you money, and get you NEW remus.

Look here :

http://www.remusexhaustshop.com/group-buys-i-8.html

I have no credibility here, I don't see what I'll do if I contact them, and I can't contact Astro either.

This is a sound clip of what usually members do when looking for performance with a refined sound. Custom piping with Remus mufflers.

The video shown is 3.0 V6 Audi A4.

If you are looking for performance, we recommend 2.5" inlet, all of our universal mufflers are 2.25" except 3 exceptions, which are Rev3s, stepped inlet designs that go from 2" to 2.25" and up to 2.5" inlet diameter.

We usually work for group buys by amount of orders. 1 order = 1% off, up to 20% off.

Forgot to add, the Rev3s are the Twin 02, Twin Turbo and Single turbo tips.

For sound, I guess you can stay with 2.25" inlet, we have a lot more tip style in 2.25".

Universal mufflers are weld-on, they'd simply weld to your existing piping.
Retail price for twin turbo is 342.18 for one muffler.

253.18 for Single Turbo

Regarding the sound, if you delete the resonator, you'll have a much more raspy sound.
If you keep the actual piping, you will have a low but refined rumble.
