Reminiscing of my baby

Looking at some of my old pics. and I must say the 2002 auto cl-s I traded is my favorite car of all time even over my Benz.

bought her in 2001 and she treated me well for the year and a half I had her...all I keep thinking about is what if I still had her....what would she look like today. At the time I traded her for an 03' she was already hooked up with comptech springs, comptech icebox, comptech headers, comptech exhaust, infinity basslink, 2003' taillights, OEM spoiler and other mods I dont remember.

damn all she really needed is the supercharger and b-pipe and the transfer of my alpine dvd player and dvd navi and I would of been set.

anyways life goes on and you live and you learn...hope whoever has her now is treating her like I did..that car didnt have a single dent on the black paint and was waxed twice a month.

here she is

yea but I bought the 6 speed used and the auto brand spanking new...I broke her in my way so I know that it always had synthetic oil and all the maintenance done.

buying a used car compared to new it just feels different...its almost like banging a virgin compared to the neighborhood slut

I agree, she is a real looker. And there is something special about getting a new car. Kinda like having a 21 year old college girl from Hawaii as your fiance

That shine was outrageous LOU!! I am assuming Zaino?? I always think of my first car also, but things changes, so be happy with the 430 and enjoy and you never know down the line when the CL-S becomes a classic, you will pick one up again!

Are you coming to the LI meet, I believe CL-Driver is bringing his new C-class sedan AMG!!

Lou - That was the closest to a eulogy for a car as you can get

The car was beautiful - your benz is even more so...But there is something about the cl-s...at least to me

Nice CL! Still think it's a classic design - I have often passed an older Honda or Acura and think that they still look good - Honda/Acura designs may not be flashy, but I think the CL will look good for a long time...

BTW, still have my Prelude Si, so have best of both worlds...

Best

Jim

whoa Darrinb you make it sound like I traded the CL-S for a Honda Civic or something. There is nothing wrong with a little upgrade for the new year

Those Comptech exhausts don't look bad at all on a CL.

I have a feeling i'll be dropping by PAA before school starts again.

whoa not for the exhaust I can do this in 10 minutes just let me know

Chaptorial whenever your ready I think those wheels in the pic would be a great addition to your suspension.

SSR Gt1 in 17 x 7.5 weighing in at 17 lbs. each compared to 25.5 for the stock 02' or 22 lbs for the 03'

and also some 235/45 stickier tires and your ready for some serious twisities.

Yeah when/if was to get rims they would have to be lightweight. I really like the GT1's but any rim purchase won't be until the spring/summer.

Thanks lou.

I miss my civic a lot.. it was my first car.. i was really sad to give it up.. and when i got rid of it i was really upset.

But when I finally got to get into my 3000gt and drive it, the sadness dissipated.

God I love my car
but if i were to ever come across my old civic, i would probably buy it back. some person in daytona probably has it and is ricing the shit out of it

Remembering...

Hey Lou, your sixth pic shows fog lights illuminated. What are the make and/or brand of fog lights you had on your CL at that time?

Just thinking about puttin' fogs in my '03...

PiAA 1400 black housing

PIAA's 1400 Series Fog Lights are the smallest dichroic reflection fog lamps you can find. The dichroic reflection offer the brightness and intensity of HID lights at a fraction of the cost. The dichroic reflection allows the bulb to run cooler than bulbs of similar wattage while the 55 watt bulb projects a beam as bright as an 85 watt bulb.

Thank you for the info Lou. They looked sweet! When I buy fogs (hopefully soon), those ones will be at the top of my list.
