that shit will definately come off...i just de-badged mine last week, all it takes is a little patience and some Goof Off and buff that ass when you're done....took me a total of 1.5 hours maybe and you cant see where the emblems were...
just looked at neversummer's "recipe"-->that looks like a good approach as well! good luck

^^ dont think you need to re-paint that...mine looked the same way when i first took off the emblems, now no matter how close you are to the car or at any angle, you cant see the outlines of the letters..

says "hello to my TLX".
i've helped debadge a couple of black/dark-colored cars. claybar the area with plenty of pressure. then use a swirl remover/compound to work into the clear. this would get rid of the ghost marking of where the badges stood. follow this by a good waxing and you should be good.

that is exactly how mine looked when i first debadged it. keep it moist and use your nails to rub it. do it lightly with many strokes and it will all come off cleanly. this is how mine turned out. within a couple days parked in the sun there wasn't any signs of emblems ever being there.

What he says here is true. I'd recommend waiting until your city lets you wash your car again, wash the dirt off the area your debaging. Then keep the water stream on it full time, and just LIGHTLY scrape w/ your fingernail to get most of the sticky off. Make sure any embedded dirt gets removed extra carefully, you don't want to scratch your paint. Then wash again w/ your regular car wash mit and soap.
After that use some cotton balls and sticky remover of choice, like as many as you need, i used about ten just on my 3.2 cl badge. If they get anything stuck to em, swap for a fresh one.Use goo gone or anything similar, i used some 99% alcohol and a lot of rubbing back and forth over the sticky, use hard force only where there is sticky, and it will come off eventually, i wouldn't rush, theres no need. When it's all off, and i mean all, then go ahead and give it a nice double coat of your favorite wax, and it should look great!! When i was done i could not tell there was a badge there, no scratches, shadows etc. no matter how hard i looked. Since you appear to be in a lot sunnier of an area, you might need it to bake in the sun a bit to even out. Good luck.
