Rear View Mirror Q.

Today the top part of my Rear view mirror went liquid, it does not even work now. I never go near it, nor did i hit or bang on it.

My question is, what makes the liquid appear and if i have B2B 12000K/12months warranty am i covered ?

Thanks

Common problem. Mine started "Halo-ing" at about 30k miles, Dealer replaced, everything fine now. I leave mine on Auto dim all the time.

Dunno, but the Halo effect is when the blue starts to fade from the outer edges of the mirror. You have low miles, and under warrranty, take her in.

thanks again chopper,

I did take the car in, turns out its a know problem here in sunny Florida, what happens is the Mercury inside expands in heat causing it to leak out of the case.

Thats why if you notice that black area around the top part of the windshield in front of the rearview mirror, its supposed to absorb the heat.

Anyways 45mins later at the dealer a new RVM was installed. No problems
