Rear Sunshade?

Is there an aftermarket rear sunshade...electric or manual for the 2001-2002 acura cl-s? I noticed this feature on Audi's and VW's and thought it was a really cool alternative to tinting.

i think they are available. I remember seeing one that would fit but it's like $200 so it'll have to wait until all the performance mods are done or until i get the 6speed.

ValueTL from the TL board sells them. When the TL board comes back up I'll find his website address for you. He sells them for the TL (Inspire in Japan) so I'm not sure if it would fit the CL rear window.....

yeah it is pretty cool. I was watching motorweek on speedvision last night and they were reviewing the new peugoet seadan. The dude doing to voice over said, "If you want a tete-a-tete with you mon ami, then all you have to do is hit the automtic sunshade and you have instant privacy." As the shade goes up you see the guy reach over and start making out with the chick They aren't as expensive as i first thought and so i think i might get one soon.

Nope, that one looks manual....just a pull down shade. I'd spend the extra $30 something dollars and get the auto one. I wonder where the switch on the manual one is... it looks like it's on the base of the shade. I wonder if you could run a switch to the dash. That would be even cooler!!

yeah, switch in the front is a must. I am sure that it could be done with all the electronic experts on this board. Streeteffectz? Who else?

might be useful to see if we can purchase from vw accessories or something. Might have trouble finding the right size but it is worth it.

heh

way ahead of you Zapata
I called VW Service...they said it would cost like 400 dollars for their shade....I had to chuckle...he said it would be better to go aftermarket...I think I am going with the 39 dollar one...those two bars on the automatic one kinda suck...

yeah, that's too steep for a sunshade. I'm just looking for one to use when i'm parked And on sunny days to keep the sun from killing the leather and warming up the car.

all automatic ones have those two bars.

at least the ones from the CLK, I30, VW's do...

You don't use these shades while your driving... so who cares about the arms being in your way?

I would...

I would want to use this when i am driving...all the VW's do...I drive in an area where morning sun is very prevalent so I would definitely want it up all the time...

Not only that.. it would be nice to figure out how to get it to run off the car's power rather than three 9volt batteries..

The shade looks like it is adjustible to fit larger windows.. those bars may even move more out of the way than shown in the pic..

47" size would give great coverage and even make the bars closer to the sides of the window, giving you even more visibility..

oh yeah.. the switch up front is a must!!

One time i let a clk amg 55 cut in front of me and he lowered his rear sun shade, waved thanx and raised his shades again.

This just kinda left me w/ my jaws dropped amazed. drooling.

I'm gonna go w/ the manual 39 dollar one. I had the front windshiled thing where 2 peieces meets w/ velcro in the middle. BEST when getting nookie and needs some privacy

any know the dimensions for our rear?
