rear seats

How do I fold down the rear seats in my CL. I have to do an airport run and fit two sets of golf clubs and 2 big suite cases in my car

You do not. They are not folding seats. Best you can do is open the little pass-through in the middle under the armrest.

just unbolt the rear reats. i 10mm wrench and extensions and a screwdriver is all u need. it'll take all of 10 mins

Really? Where are those at?

You have to pull the seat bottoms out, then remove the center console, then you can get to the bolts securing the seat back cushion to the car.

Why don' you just throw the sticks in the back seat and the suitcase in the trunk?

u guys dont know how big the suitcases are tho fellas.

and don't make it sound so hard saying remove this, then that and so on...

just say. pop out the rear cushions, un bolt the 4 10 mm bolts holding in the center console in, and then remove the other bolts holding in the top of the seat backs. literally less than 10 bolts ur gonna laugh when it's done.

Unless the bottoms are stuck into the grommets. Then require some brute force to loosen. Breaking the grommets & creasing the cushions.....

Even with the back seat removed, the passthough in the CL isn't that large. The reason our CL doesn't have a drop down seat is because there are reinforcement braces to stiffen the chassis. I doubt you could push a large suitcase through. Pulling the backseat could allow you to put a large suitcase in the back seat area though.:2cents:

Page 5 of the attached describes how to pull the back seat and has a pretty good picture of the opening once you've got the seat out.

Is that not what I said? Ive had my back seats out about 6 or 7 times now, I know the process.

u just made it sound time consuming to someone who's never done it b4. that's all

aznboi2424 01-03-2012 03:43 PM

Just put it inside the car. I managed to fit 2 rims and 2 boxed gas BBQs in my car. Another time I got to fit 4 wheels with tires and 2 tires in my car. Although both times I was driving solo.
