Rear exhaust section????

Rear exhaust section????

Hey everybody i was wondering if u just took off the bolts to the dual exhaust system and ran it without the dual exhaust on would it would it be bad for your engine, how loud, any quicker? anyone ever done this crazy idea? thanx in advaced.

It would save weight...and probably increases backpressure a little bit. I really don't see why you would wana do this.

It would probably sound like a BOP BOP. Dont do it. The CL is a classy sport coupe, leave it that way.

Ok i'm pretty sure you mean just for the track.

Well first of all it will be loud. It will drop your times but not increasingly. I don't think it will harm your engine. But I doubt the time will help a lot since remember the exhaust on the CLS has been freed up almost all the way. So you wouldn't really gain much.

NOW HEADERS STRAIGHT OUT!!!
