Raced a new GTP Comp G

I was in the right lane, he was in the middle. We were at a light. He had his stereo blasting, & I saw some gauge pods on his A-piller. Light was right before the entrance to I95. I just knew he wanted to blast by me to get on the ramp. Also it was wet outside(had been raining) So it turns, I peel out a little, he launches, we are even till I hit 2nd gear, & then I pull on him. I had a bitch keeping the car under control though I was skidding all over. He was at my rear fender when I hit 3rd. He then backed off I guess cause he needed to get on I95. I was going straight.

Yeah I agree. In my defense though FL's weather is so crazy. It wasn't wet at all 1/2 mile down the road. In FL it rains in spots.

Agreed. Kind of hard to put low rpm torque to the ground if it's wet.

Anyone in CT looking for a GTP run?

The comp G is the top of the line GTP model. 2004+ body style. Changes from a regular GTP is the suspension, TAP shift, 3.29 final drive ratio, wheels, tires, stability and steering. It has the same 260hp and 280tq as a regular GTP though.

I can probably get you a friendly run, I'd run ya, but I'm in Cali. What kind of 1/4 do ya run so we can get a GTP that is just a little faster. In your area there are probably stockers running high 14s all the way down to 12 sec cars, I'm not sure, but I think there might be 1 11 sec car not to far from ya.

You can PM, aim me, or just go post a friendly invitation over at

Texas forum of Club GP

I don't know a lot of the Texas group, but most GP guys are pretty cool. Heck, the SoCal let me in their club and I drive a Regal.

And I still want to race a CLS in SoCal, even if you are faster than me!!!
