Okay so here's what happened:

me and my friend april had just left a club...it was around 2:30am and i am driving her home. In the distance i can see 'teg altezza lights so i kinda speed up, as i pull up on the car i can see that it's hooked up...so i tried him. He didnt take the first couple attempts...but i was a very persistant lil CL and finally he bit...

wheeeeeeeee....so off we go...we were on Beach Blvd, which is a straight shot, no turns and such. well when we first take off i am in D4..which wasn't doing too damn much because even though i was flooring it, he started to pull on me...so i threw it back into D3 and floored it again...we were prolly going about 95-100mph at this point and i started to pull on him....when that happened he started backing off....

so i got in front of him and turned on my hazards...
lol...yep i did a ricer fly by...

man i had so much fun...god i love this shit...it was my first race since i got my CL in Feb...and the fact that i tried him and i won...makes it like a million times better

wait, I thought he started to back off after you started to pull from behind? Am I misunderstanding? Technically this means that you lost. A CL will always pull top end on a teg.

um...yeah, u just confused the shit outta me...haha

all i know is i tried him when we were already going about 40/45 mph...it wasnt from a stop...which sucked...i'd really like to race someone from a complete stop...

BUT i was saying that i noticed him starting to pull...i know my car....and i know that unless i downshifted into D3, it wasn't going to go any faster...and he would have won...

he wasn't pulling on me that much...but when i put it into D3 it gave my car that extra kick...and i passed him....believe me he was very much in the race the entire time...

maybe i'm just not explaning it very well, i was a little...umm...like i said i had just left a club, so...but from what i remember thats what happened

and thanks for the "nice kill" remark, but it wasn't a kill, wish it coulda been, but it was close...very close...

but i won and thats all that matters...:P

heh-- yea our cars have a hella advantage over a teg at top end speeds- don't you have a 2.2? apparently not manual-- but anyways tegs can beat us stock if they have enough mods-- i beat a integra who had a CAI(that was it at the time).. stock he ran like a 16.3 1/4 mile, and when he got all his stuff on, exhaust/intake/sparkplugs and some other crap, i think he runs like a 15.6/7 , so he could barely take me now

PS if you guys want to race a car that is a 4 banger and you know they have like a low 15's or so car, HIGHWAY RACE... topend speed on the CL can whoop some ass!

 

yea its true what you are sayn cor! but i think a moded cl could run 15's and take on a integra at short distances! like i said with modifications!

 

yeah i agree wit that 1...ive raced on tha southern state in NY at like 2 in tha morn when there was noone there except me and this V8 cherokee and a teg and neither could hang wit tha top speed at all
