QUICK question for all the tech heads!(brothers please help me out!)
I heard that installing a tranny cooler on the autotragic, will eliminate this tranny failure, everyone seems to be riddled with! is this true? my question is this: has anyone with an tranny cooler still lost the tranny? I'm asking because from the internal acura document, it would seem that the 3rd gear clutch pack can't take the heat, and is burning up, and F^&king everyone up! would be really sad to hear that a 50 dollar mod, would have saved all these trannys!

The document submitted to the NHTSA by Acura, hints that in addition to the high temperatures that there are certian clearance issuses which limit the flow of the fluid in certian areas and thus limiting the ability to cool, so if heat was the only problem a cooler would fix it, but as I understand a cooler will not completely fix the problems as still only so much can flow through a given space in the time. So I assume that a tranny cooler could fix the problem for some trannies but not all, it all would depend how out of spec those clearances were.
