Questions about www.autocarparts.com
Alright, I have just ordered my AEM CAI and bypass valve from www.autocarparts.com. Actually, I had my friend in Seattle place the order for me because I was unsure of the differences in tax schemes between U.S. and Canada as well as duty. Anyways, for those that have ordered in the past from www.autocarparts.com, how long does it take to ship from there to Seattle?
I'm not too knowledgeable with aftermarket modifications, but I hear that with a CAI, you lose low-end torque. If this is true, would it drastically affect acceleration(slower?) or is it negligible?

I believe it took a couple of days. Then again, he shipped it from CA for me. Ask Tim where he shipped it from..

From what I hear from Tim... normally takes 3-days for shipping to the west coast (dont quote me on that)
As for the CAI ? yea you lose low-end torque... but I guess the high-end makes up for it.
I guess ya need to drive a CAI'd car to understand how the hell that works out.

As I said before, I had my friend in Seattle place the order for me due to the above-mentioned reasons. Anyways, I went to www.autocarparts.com homepage and entered in the invoice # to check out the tracking feature. Cool stuff! My order was placed on Tuesday, March 6 12:01 am(pacific time).
Scheduled Delivery: Mar 14
Service Type: Domestic Standard(ground)
That's a whole week of waiting for my AEM CAI from LA to Seattle...sigh...oh well, at least it is coming. Even more, I hope UPS is being conservative with their estimated delivery time(heh heh heh)

Satin Slayer, UPS just had a system change (along with a nice price increase) and since then their expected delivery date it wrong. Don't go by that, go by the details and where it is.
Hmmm, Also I notice you just placed your order at Tuesday, March 6 12:01 am and you say you could track your order ???
That can't be, I'm fast, but not that fast
UPS doesn't pick up at night. lol
Email me and I will look into it for you. Send me your ACP#

Just got a call from my friend down in Seattle telling me that he received the intake. Now, all I have to do is go down and pick it up tomorrow. I am very...no, make that extremely satisfied with snook789's professionalism and prompt service. Rest assured that yours will be the first company that I will consider in any future purchases for my car. Thanks again, snook789:-)
