Question on Tranny Fluid
Hi everyone, What kind of transmission fluid should i be using if i do not go to Acura for service ?
I do all my regular service at a firend's shop. Not too long ago, i went for a regular oil change, and he suggested that i should change tranny fluid. He did not flush it, just drain the old fluid out and pour in some bulk tranny fluid.
I felt the tranny not being as smooth and obvious shaking when kick down in D4. my car is a 99 CL 3.0 @ about 27k miles, should i get a flush and then put in some original honda fluid ? A friend of mine was telling me honda tranny fluid has a diff chemistry. Whats the best tranny fluid for people who dirve hard on their car ? Brand ? synthetic ?
Any comment will be greatly appreicated.

Genuine Honda ATF-Z only. I'd wait a bit for more info on Redline as well. I know Redline makes great products, but I'm still not convinced we can use it safely. These transmissions are not cheap to replace if it's coming outta your pocket!
