Question for those who cleared your headlights

I did a search and came up empty. What kind of silicon did you use and where did you get it from. I have no luck with the OEM silicon. Both of the housing are fogged up. I think I need more silicon to properly seal the thing.

For anyone who painted the chrome outliner, could you post some pics?

Thanks guys.

i just used regular clear rtv silicone from home depot. but i left alot of the original adhesive from the headlight instead of removing it. when i put it back together i heated it all back up again, ran a thin layer of silicone across the whole assembly and as i heated it i clamped it together tight and let it set. they made it through last summer and winter and no leaks so far.

I used that expensive (relatively) Silicone II stuff. No problems so far.
