Question for those with TL Stock Fog Switch

I'm working on a fog light install that I'll write up a DIY with pics, but how in the world did you wire anything up to that switch? The pins are so close together and deep in the socket.. is it possible to get just the harness that plugs into the switch?

Pic for reference:

You go to a junkyard and cut out the cable leading TO that switch, or buy the appropriate harness that has the connector connecting to the switch. That would make for the cleanest install. Otherwise, use a very fine tip soldering iron and TRY to solder into that switch directly... (this would be much more difficult).

I've got all the pics and a wiring diagram ready.. just need to hook it all up to this switch and I'll post it.

No luck with junkyards around here.. I've tried for several items.

I'm gonna try trimming down a butt connector:

And hope I can make a single pin crimp on connector.

If that doesn't work I'm probably gonna have to take the dremel to the socket housing to expose the pins and then solder onto them with some heatshrink for insulation.. should be fuuun.

That's exactly what you do. Though I used cutters & cut the plastic.

I bought the sub harness. Its $15, but worth it for the connector IMO.
