question to the technically inclined(not acura question sorry)
a friend of mine has a bad "exhaust sensor" called a DPFE, she has a ford 150 V8. Does anyone have any idea what she should be paying for this? Also her dealer says her injectors need cleaning. Any advice? thanks!

DPFE = Differential Pressure Feedback EGR sensor. Basically what
is does is verify the functionality of the EGR. It monitors exhaust pressure vs. Recirculation pressure (they should be high vs. low when the EGR is open). These supposedly fail on Fords quite often.
It's around $75-$85... I would figure!
Good luck.

omg! she's picking her truck up as we speak, they charged her $500 for fixing that, cleaning her injectors, and air filter. Will labor come up to that much for all this????

You'd be surprised how often they fail on different Ford products.
Funny thing is that they can be removed and cleaned and will usually work fine..... Of course the local Ford dealer won't tell you that though....
Carbon build-up is a bitch
