Has anyone had new piping done from the cat to where the HKS exhaust starts? Would this make a difference in sound if it were done?

 

hey liquid its mmalecka41 ahh i cut out the resonator (between the cats and the exhaust) and with my hks's it sounds great loud sometimes but you get used to it real fast and it seems to get quiter as time goes on. go to midas or some place like that you can get it cut ut for 15 bucks or so and it would be abut that to put them back in, but drive around in it for a week before you put the resonator back on if you ont like it.

 

I DID.
I GOT A HIGH FLOW CATALYTIC AND A RESONATOR.
ALL WAS WELDED TO MANDREL BENT 2-1/2" CUSTOM PIPING, INCLUDING A 2-1/2" CUSTOM Y-PIPE AS WELL.
COMBINED W/ THE COMPTECH HEADERS & HKS DUAL EXHAUST, THE SOUND IS AMAZING. THE AMOUNT OF AIR FLOW IS CRAZY.
IT'S NOT THAT ANNOYING AT LOW RPM'S EITHER.
TRUST ME, NONE OF YOU INTERESTED IN TRUE PERFORMANCE WILL REGRET IT. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET POWER OUT OF YOUR EXHAUST. SIMPLY SWAPPING OUT THE MUFFLERS DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

 

do you think we me just having stock cats itll be similar to yur hi flow res and cats, and i have a question what is a y pipe how does it fit is it 2 pipes y-ing outto dual exhaust how does it help?
