Question on K&N air filters

I purchased one about 7 months ago for my comtech ice box but never used it. i just took it out of the plastic bag to make sure it fit the comtech pipe. i am going to install it soon but need to know if i need to re-oil it before installing. i know the k&n filters come pre-oiled. the filter is still pink. but doesn't look oily anymore. need to re-oil before installing or no need?

They do come pre-oiled and the oil is pink-red -- so if the filter is still that color it's nice and oiled.

Over-oiling can cause problems. I'd also say you're good to go.
