Question to CL Type-S / BWM 330 owners...
Sorry, still need some help on my decision.
BMW 330ci with the similiar options costs approx. $40k. CL-S cost $32k with Navi. system. If I decided to buy CL-S, I will save $8000 dollars. 0-60 and 1/4 mile on these two cars are about the same. my question to you all is how is the handling on CL-S? Is the handling comparable to 330ci (FWD v.s. RWD)? C&D mentioned that CL-S is probably the best FWD car available, but does anyone know how much different between these two car in twisted roads? I know I can't go wrong with BMW or Acura. Thanks a lot.

Hmm
Well as for upgrades for the BMW, I do not know what is available, but the CL-S with Springs, Sways, and some Bridgestone SO3's is unbelievable....
Good luck in making your decision...
Hey, are you thinking of a manual or Auto?

I think in general, most everyone would agree that the 330 will be the better car in the twisties. But, nothing springs and sways can't fix. 330 is a great car, but if you want the best car per dollar, the CL-S is tough to beat! Drive both and enjoy which ever one you choose

well i had a TLS with springs and sways, and it still didnt handle as well my as STOCK 330. But then again i had stock tires on the TLS. Yea i say drive both. The 330 to me has more of a soild build to it, plus rwd is fun as hell to drive... there is no steer torque like the TLS had. Also are you looking for a manual or auto? I would say buy the CLS if you want an auto. The bmw isnt too much fun with the automatic IMO. *edit* nevermind you want an manual. The acuras navi is much better though. Also gotta keep in mind that resale on the cls isnt that great, but not sure if that matters to you.
really depends what you want or need. For me i have no regrets, im glad i traded in and got a 330.

Unless you autox or just HAVE to to doughnuts every day, how much difference is there really between a 330 and a CL-S manual w/LSD? I'm sure there's a big difference if you push your car to the limit all the time, but what about normal to slightly aggressive daily driving?

dont let anyone convince you. test drive them both. even if there aren't many twistys, take a right turn at a green light fast enough to scare the shit out of the salesman . Have fun with them both!
