question 'bout cleared headlights

Hey I know a hundred people have asked this question before but I relly don't have time to scroll thru the last few weeks of letters to find an answer. I think I'm gonna clear my headlights out tonight and would just like a little feedback from people that have done it. Did any of you run into any problems doing it? Is there anything about the job that I should watch out for and be really carefull about. I'm gonna do it at work tonight and would hate to get stuck at work without headlights cause of something that other people already know about. wish me luck that I don't F-up my CL.

make sure the silicon you buy is heat resistant. My lights turned out great, then after a few days of driving and the hot AZ sun got to them they started to separate and eventually allow water to get in them. Also get some adhesive remover so you can clean that nasty clue off the chrome area before you reassamble. Make sure to test the cleaner on a portion first to make sure it's okay. I started at the bottom of the light with a screwdriver, then finished the rest up with my hands. Good luck, it's not a run job.

clearing the lights was a bitch to do... but well worth the work after you see the results. just make sure you don't get the silicone on the chrome... it looks really unattractive. and make sure you seal it up completely afterwards so you don't encounter fogging... which means you have to do them over and over again... etc. good luck.
