Okay, I looked in my manual, and didn't find any instructions on how to turn off the alarm beep. Is this guy pulling my leg or am I missing something?

I looked through it and saw nothing about turning on/off the alarm chirp. I did learn a different trick though: normally, the seat returns to the memory setting corresponding to the remote used (1 or 2) but the manual explains that this feature can be disabled (so the seat remains in it's current position). To turn the feature off, press the Lock and Unlock button on the remote at the same time until the LED on the remote blinks twice. To turn it back on, hold both buttons until it blinks once. I tried it and it works. This may be common knowledge to some but it was new for me...
Also, the manual lists a way to test the alarm chirp: remove right inner fender, disconnect the two-prong connector going into the buzzer (it looks like a small cylinder), connect battery power to #2 terminal of connector (the right side when connector prong is on top), ground #1 terminal. It should chirp. If it doesn't, it says to remove the two screws and replace unit.

QuiQ cLs, I told you at the Revscene meet...save yourself the "head-scratching" and just wait till your next service visit. Get them to fix it for you when you bring your car in.
