Question about K&N air filter for CL type S

Hi,

I've noticed that some people here had upgraded the air filter on their CL Type S with the K&N. When I checked several internet dealters, the K&N P/N 33-2133 is only for the non-type S engine. Is this true? If not, please let me know where can I get one. Any valid feedback would be appreciated. Cheers!!!

What you want is K&N Air Filter 33-2178 according to the K&N site.

I tried to order one, and it was taking forever and my dealer couldn't give me a performance advantage if I had one. So, instead I ordered Xephyers CAI.

Waiting for delivery.

Good Luck!!

I got my K&N 33-2178 filter through Performance Products for $48 (incl shipping and no tax). It's been installed for about 1000 miles now and I haven't noticed any improvement in performance or gas mileage over the stock filter.

(You can't buy the 33-2178 online, you must call to order): http://www.performanceproducts.com

SummitRacing.com, $42 + $7.
K & N filters are not magic;but you only buy them once and they only have to be cleaned every 30,000/50,000 miles.
