Question about CL Type S

I am selling my Acura Legend LS and planning on buying a CL TYpes S 6 Speed. Is there anything i should look for specifically when inspecting the car? Also is it safe to but a CL TYpe S with over 50,000 miles on it? Any advice will be appreciated greatly since i know nothing about the CL. Thanks.

You must be getting a hell of a deal if it's got +50K. Maybe less then 20K? 19K? If not, don't do it. Are you buying this from someone you know?

Yeah, that's a lot of miles. However, if the person was driving "easy" freeway miles, that might be better than a 2003 6-speed that had 10,000 miles that was driving on two wheels for 9,900 miles.

Hard to know...

I picked up my 2003 CL-S 6 speed about a month ago. Got it with 33,000 @$21,500. I figured it was mostly highway since it was only 1 1/2 years old. However, I would not pay any more than $19,000 if it has 50,000 miles.

Kostas86:
The black book wholesale price on an 03 6speed with 50k miles would be about $18,500. If you could get it for $20k or less I think that would be a pretty good deal. Remember, this is an Acura we are talking about. It's a great car, and I don't think that 50k miles is going to hurt it. It's not a bad value for the money. I don't know of any significant problems the 6 speeds are "typically" having.

Rotors are apparently a weak spot. See how the brakes feel with moderate to heavy pedal pressure from about 60mph. You should be able to feel it if the rotors are warped. I would just look the car over good - especially wear items (tires, brakes, etc.) Try to get a good history on the car (maintainence, why so many miles, etc.), run a carfax, and look closely for any previous damage to the car. I hope this helps
