Q about road lamp removal

Well after one of my bulbs was busted *cough* xenon7 *cough* I decided to take out both my roadlamps. I figured it would channel some extra air into the engine bay to cool off that tranny that likes to run so hot and a little ram-air esque action ANYWAY, for those of you who have done it, what have you used to cover the electrical wires that plug into the road lamps?? I had it uncovered for a while and didn't feel comfortable so i used to plastic bags and fastened them with rubber bands.

That sounds like a good idea...or use heat shrink. Electrical tape will get all gooey over time. I wouldn't use that.

doesn't the car look...naked without them????

it's not like the '03 that has a covering on it at least

would u consider painting the black pillars next to the road lamp housings?? that would really add a nice touch to the area

If I remember, they did break in your hands not mine! :P

Just use a little heat shrink as mentioned or black electrical tape. My little LED project is still ongoing. If things go as planned, I will have a new form of LED's for my road lamps in a few weeks. I have found the larger lamps I have been looking for but Unfortunatly its going to take 2- donor roadlamp sockets to do the project.
