wish i had the money (or desire to part mine just to put them all on that one) I think i'd be more inclined if it was white/ebony w/ navi though

Ouch... $20.5K ?? I think I see 19K in his future... I guess it's just an asking price, but it still seems a little high. Must be one of those "you can always lower the price later" deals. It's definitely not priced for a quick sale.

My SMR non-navi 6spd is one of 217, and has 47K miles on it (the one above is @ 48K), and I have no illusions about what my car is worth on the open market. I could probably get 18 tops, probably more like 17 (especially if I wanted a quick sale).

Yeah, it's high, but he does say "OBO"... I absolutely love my '01 SMR, but of course would rather have the sturdier 6 spd trans. I'm really tempted to upgrade, but concerned that I wouldn't feel the same "magic" that I feel with the current ride, which hasn't given me a lick of trouble....

It's 4 years old... (03 CLS 6spds could be bought in April 02)...

Average mileage is 12.5K miles...

4 x 12.5 = 50K miles....

Seems like a little above average mileage to me...

An acura is a driver... it's not like it's a ferrari that has to be kept in a garage...

I'm actually going to go up and look at that one real soon. The only thing that bugs me is the mileage:price ratio. I may just bite the bullet and get it, considering it's EXACTLY what I want.

Offer 'em 18.5K and bring a kbb/nada/edmunds print out w/ you

20.5k is an asking price... if the guy doesn't budge ask him what he's smoking and send it to me

It's red,ebony,6spd,navi... so it is exactly what you're looking for and one of only 25...

This thread is a good example of what I always say when someone says they can't find a 6spd. They are out there, and they aren't that hard to find (even the more rare color combos).

You just have to extend your search area and not be such a cheap bastard when you find something you want. Some of the cars mentioned here from autotrader are a little high in asking price, but if the color combo you want, you can always talk 'em down.

<--- Cheap bastard, but doesn't mind paying a premium sometimes if it's for something that's exactly what I want.

Before you take the plunge, you might want to look at the carfax I requested in chris82709's thread - That biatch has been around!

Most here know, but I went out of state to get my anthracite 6MT/Navi.
I already had a white/tan 6MT CLs (15k mi) that I sold to a female UT professor,
and then I boarded a one-way flight to Oklahoma City with cashier's checks to buy the anthracite, it had 7500 miles and had been on autotrader for a few months. This was about 2 years ago.
You can easily get an out of town seller to have the car inspected by a dealer for like $75 beforehand. No regrets.
