Power Seat / Driver Memory

When I try to move the drivers seat either up (towards the steering wheel) or away from the wheel, it only moves a few inches before I have to let go, and do it again to move it even more.. The power just cuts out after a second or two.. Any idea why? Better yet, how do I fix it?

Will doing so make it so when I open the door with the second remote, it'll automatically adjust the seat to the number two position?

Thanks for the help,
Elliot

If you set the memory 1 with the remote, when you use key fob 1, it will have the seat ready to go. Set memory seat 2 with key fob 2 and when using fob2, seat will go to mem2.

Since I am the only one that drives my car and have a mem1 key fob. I set my seating to mem2. Then I set mem 1 almost all the way back. so when I get into the car, im not all bunched up. I hit number 2 on the door and my seat adjusts to what I have it saved.

Yes, but I think my battery is depleted such that the seat and mirrors do not adjust.. How do I fix this?

would a low battery stop the seat memorizing from working? I have a Key Fob 1 and it can not program memory one. It will just not beep when I press memory then the number 1. I have tried linking and unlinking the fobs to the car but nothing works. Memory two works fine with the second fob.

Any ideas?

If you can't program seat 1 inside the car it's not a problem with the remote. If there is enough battery to start the car you have enough to program the seats. Sounds like the problem is in the programing-maybe the switch.

there's a TSB about that issue on MDX (seat moving an inch at a time), you need to replace the front motor position sensor

Type S Zero,

Any idea where I'd find more information about this? I'd love to get this fixed.
