Pothole ate my tire and rim..ugh!
Few nights ago it was raining and in some construction area I hit a hole that ripped a hole in my right front tire and bent the rim.
so I now have to
a) find someone in the Boston area to sell me a single '01 rim
b) find a dealer with a used '01 rim he will sell me
c) investigate if the current rim can be repaired cost effectively
d) drive my brother's '94 Taurus until it gets fixed.
crap.
(Called the State Police and asked if they had ever heard of anyone getting reimbursed for things like this. He said that unless the car was disabled on the spot by some egregous error on the DPWs part then no, he hasn't seen this ever happen. Dang. "Nice try though" he said. lol)

when I had my 98 Eclipse, I feel into a hole half the size of the car and about 10 inches deep, it fucked the front bumper up (OEM Suspension but front fascia close to the ground. Strange thing was, it was in the middle of a parking lot, and it was dark so the hole was unseen, so I went and found a cop to bitch, of course no go on the repair. I mean why should I have to foot the bill for something that I had no warning of.
Of course our road department are always "out to lunch", they ouldn't build a decent road if their lives depended on it.
Good luck Mike
