Possible (small) Group buy: AVC-RGB1
A guy locally has 4 units, unmodified, avaliable. He wants to sell to me for $300 + tax = $324. If I can get 4 people who want it...I can probably get him down a bit on the price. Maybe in the $260 range. If any of y'all are interested let me know....I will probably end up getting one either way since these things are going the way of the Dinosaurs but I though I would pass along the opportunity.

Yeah you're telling me! My worry is that if I don't get one now I may not be able to get one ever...regardless of the price. If anyone has any alternatives to the AVC-RGB1, PLEASE PLEASE let us know.

I looked into that but Ron wants $550 for the kits which is the converter, the audio adapter, wiring and instructions. He will only sell as a kit. If I can get the converter for $260 I think I would be happy. What is "new and improved" about the one he sells?

but i think packaged set from his is worth it because you get everything you need AND the instructions with it. his is already modified and all you have to do is basically splice a few wires..ect... to add it on since it comes pre-modified internally
it's worth the effort alone to buy the package then have to do everything yourself

Talked to the guy today and he agreed to $250 each if I bought all 4. Shipping should be about $15 so about $265 shipped. Let me know.
