You need the manifold from Acura, I paid 350.00 out the door & you need the adapter I also bought the thermal spacer for the adapter and I had a thermal spacer. My total was 85.00 for the 09 adapter & thermal spacer I don't know what the TB spacer costs on it's own as I bought the manifold thermal gasket, two TB gaskets and a second gen spacer prior.

I would guess you are looking at 480-500 but again I am not selling anything so I don't know their prices.

Contact Acura for the manifold & P2R for the rest.

Just found this site:

http://maxbore.com/

They port your throttle body, no cores involved. Saves $100 over the P2R price (after core refund), but only if you have (a) a spare TB laying around or (b) can live without your car for a few days.

Excellent pioneering on this thread. I hope the lipton bottle is only temporary haha.

What sort of wizardry would be required to finagle this mod onto a lowly j30a1? Any ideas would be much appreciated. I know there are guys on v 6 performance .net that would be down for this.

Edit: i had to space out the website for it to not get filtered out. What's that censorship about? We don't promote collaboration here among different honda/acura forums?

^delete that post. no we don't and the mods will not like you trying to get around their rules. They'll let it slide because you're new and don't know (though you should have gotten it from the fact that it censored it.) but seriously. delete that.

Yes it is. I ordered a catch can but it is not here yet, I ordered another yesterday because it has been too long, that is a temporary solution.

Lets not hate on the vee6pee guys, I know its good to be on multiple forums for all the info you can get but they are a business too and azine doesn't like giving publicity to its competitors

Well I apologize for possibly stealing revenue from AZ with my mention of a honda forum. I don't see the need for such high-horsery, none of the other "competeting businesses" in the honda/acura world prevent a person from hearing about AZ. I feel it's a shame we all can't get along. All forums have much to offer one another.

Can somebody tell me how to delete their own post? Stinks that we can only edit for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes you cant delete it. I wouldnt worry too much about, if the mods really dont like it being there, Im sure theyll edit your post.

E30, where did you order your first catch can? I am getting mine off eBay. I havent ordered it yet though.

I am not at the computer and don't remember my ebay login, it is the one that has the sight glass that is in multiple colors.

I found this DIY and ordered this filter from Amazon.

Don't worry about it, EliteDemon really overreacted imo

And back on topic I can't wait for the dyno and weight difference

Maybe he was just living up to his name. LOL.

Yeah I really would like to see the dyno and the completed DIY/parts list that accounts for all trouble shooting.

Its not necessary, but you need the 09 TL gasket (manifold to adapter) and the CL gasket (adapter to throttle body).

Morgan I got this one, the CH:
http://www.amazon.com/Campbell-Hausf.../dp/B000BOAFGO

I have connectors left over from my compressor so I figured I'd see if they fit and if not I'll take the filter to Home Depot & get what it needs.

I am really hating that Lipton bottle.

lol

Did you get your manifold on? Did you weigh it, I forgot to I was so excited about installing it immediately.

I havent done the install yet. Im keeping my promise and getting the car dyno'd before I do the install. So the manifold will have to wait.

I just picked up this catch can. It looks like the one you guys are looking at, without having to go through building it yourself. Only trick is finding the best place to mount it. I was going to do it this weekend, but after seeing this thread, Im going to hold off and possibly tackle this mod at the same time.

Thats fine and all, but there will be blow-by, so you may get oil leaking out of the filter once its saturated.

Yea, it looks like the same part, but doing it myself saves a few bucks. I got the filter for less then $24 with shipping, and all the other parts are less then $1 at Harbor Freight. Plus, I like pointing at something and saying I built that
