Im buying this manifold over the winter and installing it in the spring time along with some other goodies. Is there a way you guys could make a new thread for a diy step by step install of this manifold so we dont need to search through 20 pages of comments?

I too am looking to do this mod sometime in the next couple of months...
I figure if I'm gonna do this I might as well do it right and tune the car.
I am torn between the E-Manage Blue and still hoping that jproy get's some positive results with the AEM FIC-6. I know he was making good progress with it earlier this summer.
The AEM EMS stand-alone is just a bit too much $$$

Here is as far as I am willing to go, I just "waded" through my posts and found the necessary information in under three minutes.
Page four, post 128, page 5 posts 189 & 197 page 6 post 216.
That is all I would need to complete this mod.

I am amazed how lazy people are. We figured this out, posted it in a thread and people are asking that it be condensed because it is too much "work" to "wade" through the thread.

CL-6 is far from lazy if you check his previous posts. i agree with this thread needing to be condensed in order for it to be considered a DIY.
lighten up. people ask for DIY's all the time.

People have continually asked me and Civic to make this easier.
We did all the work the information is here.
I found the posts in three minutes and posted the post numbers and page numbers.
What did you do except call me a dick?
I am tired of being asked to work for free.

Part of it is my fault as I said I would do a DIY numerous times, but I have yet to do it. I just dont have to time to organize pics and writeup instructions.
The thread does go off topic a few times, but the info is in there. If I can get around to completing the DIY, Ill post it, but seriously, its a very simple install.
1) Remove intake and throttle body from manifold.
2) Disconnect all vacuum lines and sensors from it.
3) Unbolt the top plate.
4) Unbolt the manifold and remove along with the IMRC motor and cable.
5) Bolt new manifold on.
6) Bolt new top plate on.
7) Plug one of the vacuum fittings on the manifold
8) Connect brake booster vacuum line, FPR vacuum line, and PCV line to manifold.
9) Extend wires on the IAT sensor and install in the intake tube approximately 6" before the throttle body.
10) Bolt throttle body adapter onto manifold, then bolt the TB to that
11) Reconnect air intake tube.
12) Extend wires from the IMRC plug near rear cylinder to the IMRC actuator on the side of the manifold.
This is the IMRC connector on the new manifold:
Connect the positive to pin 5, and negative to 4.
Then go for a drive. Its barebones, and no instructions, but as I said its really straight foward. If I get the time to compile all the pics, Ill do a real DIY.

I stepped up, bought that diagram and posted it, I have posted posts similar to that 2x and he has at least once before, you will see in a few pages someone else will be making the same diy request YOU just did.
I get at least 5 pm a week demanding information.
Do you know what arrogant means?
Your demanding a diy is arrogant:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/arrogant
1 making claims or pretensions to superior importance or rights; overbearingly assuming; insolently proud: an arrogant public official.
You are welcome for my posts and information, since you need your a*s kissed for your turbo contributions thanks even though I have no intention to do a turbo.

Civicdrivr- make a diy on this and ask a mod to edit ur post when u get the pics. That way lazy fucks can't complain about not having a diy ( this wasn't directed to anyone, I wouldn't want to search through multiple pages to find some pics and hints on what to do) this thread has gone off topic many times throughout the thread

Ill get an actual DIY up and request that it be added to the original post.
E30, I know receiving multiple PMs a week is annoying, I get them too. But lets not start name calling. Lets try to keep this thread somewhat clean (aside from the offtopic banter).

Agreed, and I have been at fault at taking it off topic. I just remembered I wrote damn near the whole process, now I just need to upload pics and attach them where they need to be.

I am tired of people acting like they are owed hand holding and information.
I have shared everything I learned, (like you) and have gotten a bunch of grief for my trouble.
I agree the thread has gotten off track a few times but how hard is it to scroll?

well i agree that it needs condensing, it takes a few minutes and it will help other members which is why civic and e30 continued to post their progress. That was the objective a few months ago, i think its still both your objectives now. but the situation now is that the information is there, just hard to find. no big deal.
and i consider lazy fucks when people post new threads on things that have been covered [clearly]. and cls6 was making a suggestion not a demand, that way we can further PREVENT noobiness into this thread as well as other threads and preventing clutter. I personally followed this thread every single page and the information is all scrambled, but very good information regardless. and i think it would be smart to preserve it for what it is.
now lets all have a good time modding, end of story. and good job to e30 and civic for pursuing this mod and documenting it.

BTW, everyone reading this thread:
The dyno posted was on a bad motor (compression issues, oil consumption issues). Therefore the graph posted is not indicative of the true potential of this mod.
My motor is getting rebuilt next week and I am toying with the idea of tossing the OE manifold back on after break in and getting it back on the dyno for before and after runs. That way we can see it on a healthy motor.
The only issue Im running into is my IMRC motor for the old manifold is broken. If someone is willing to let me borrow one, I will run the dyno again. Otherwise, I dont see the need.
