I have been running this through my mind mill over and over and i am under the assumption that one should be able to adapt any transmission to any engine.
is this right or wrong.???
I started going through this becos of I have seen projects where diffrent cars had different trans or transmissions from other cars e.g "GM's heavy duty TREMEC transmissions used in box built cars etc.
so will it be possible to try something similar to this to our tranny (auto) i know the size and fitments to engine is where the complications comes in , but is that not where the need for an adaptor plate comes to play??
, Pls Somebody educate me on this.
I also know this will change the behavior of the car and so on..... but what are the possible options for a reliable bullet proof tranny replacement for the 5 speed.
sooner or later there will be a junkyard full of this engines with no tranns, its just a reality.............
since dr evil and level 10 haave come lied and have gone so ...whtz next ???

Or are you looking for something specific to the CL?

There's noting you can adapt to the CL that would be anywhere close to cost effective. Also would be 100% custom.
This isn't a hot rod, & this isn't a mass produced cookie cutter car.
The best you can do is send out the CL tranny to a shop & have them rebuild it using high strength components.
That's going to be expensive as well.
