Played with a new CL-S
Was speeding down 280 South on the S.F. Peninsula today and had played a bit with a Mitsubishi (the big one, can't recall what they are called, 3000?) getting on 280 from '92. I was doing 85-90mph and noticed this other car pacing us or even gaining on me. Eventually, I settled down to cruising at about 90mph and this blue car was still gaining. I moved over to let him pass and noticed it was a CL-S. Nice dark blue with dealer plates.
I thought I may want to have a go at this guy. We didn't really race but the road opened up at one point and I ran it up to 125mph in 4th gear. I don't know if he also punched it but he wasn't going the speed limit.
I was going to scold him for doing that during break in.

By the way, he did get it up to 95mph or so with me behind him. I just kept wondering if that was the recommended break in procedure.

I have lots of suspension modifications but only a Dinan chip on the engine. Suspension includes Bilsteins, Dinan springs, camber plates, swaybars, 13.6" floating rotors, RA1 track tires.
I may consider an Acura for my wife next year when I replace her '94 Maxima. We shall see. I wish Acura built a RWD car. It is the most German of the Japanese car companies.

Why did you do a Dinan chip? They are a POS. You should have gotten a TMS chip, I think they give the '91 M5 something around +40 hp and +45lbs of torque for $400. Oh well, welcome to the board!

Re the Dinan v. Conforti chip. Not really true. The Conforti gives you more lowend and increased performance at part throttle. The Dinan is great for my car from 5000-7000rpm. Lastly, we have a Dyno on our email list of Conforti v. Dinan and the Dinan had higher peak hp and torque than the Conforti.
Oh well is right.
