Yesterday afternoon I went to have some coffee with my friends. After we finished, I parted and decided to drive to the mall. I was doing about 50mph on the regular street and I noticed someone behind me cutting through traffic. I just played it off and kept on driving. Well, this guy starts to hug my ass; I tapped on my brakes a few times, letting him know I dont like tailgaters. This guy then proceeds to frog me for a few blocks. At the redlight he signals me to roll down my windows. He asked how many horsepower my car has, I told him 250 , I proceed to play dumb and ask him how many horsepower his car has, he replied, "240." He followed up and asked if I had any mods, I told him I am stock with stock exhaust. He then asked if I wanted to run, I said, ok next redlight; we both nodded and casually drove down the next few blocks to the next redlight. As we both waited for the green, I can his nose kind of drop from the torque brake. Green comes, he takes off spinning. I just take off casually, at around 4000rpm, I gunned it. Slam 2nd, 3rd and here I come rocketing past this guy doing 75+ mph. I got a quick glimps in the mirror as I past this guy and it looked something like this...

After we both let off, I just turned away. The guy followed me for a few blocks but I lost him at a redlight, he ended up having to stop. It was close, I thought for moment there I had to explain to him about my 250 hp :P

I think he said 14.1 at 93 mph. I'm unsure whether his car was modded or not (and I'm still unsure about that) when he made the run.

Pull_T (Mustang owner) thinks high 11's. Im thinking Low 12's to high 11's. Maybe high 11's in texas but in So Cal.. I would guess low 12's on the unit. Based on what i've seen S4's run so far with just chip and exhaust, I would guess mine would do consistent high 12's with these downpipes chip+race gas and NO nitrious. Downpipes on these cars are said to put out 30+ hp. I believe this is true in every aspect, the car pulls like a mofo. Its like adding another chip on top of what I have now

Right now im running on stock exhaust until I can get a Y-Pipe made to fit my custom Magnaflow exhaust. Open downpipes are a little too loud

 

My high 11 was really just a SWAG.

Also, street tire vs. DRs vs. slicks will be a factor (not as much of an issue for an awd, but at that power level, it will still matter). Also, like you said, track conditions and weather will play a role as well as driving skill/technique/practice (please do not take this as an insult or anything). An '01 S4 is a bit nice of a car to make a track whore out of, so I am assuming weight reduction over and above the spare, jack, etc. will not be done.

You might have mentioned it before, but what psi will you be at after the mods? Any guesses as to hp?

I dont plan on making this a my track whore car, I retired the unit before I really even used it

As far as weight reduction goes... the only real weight reduction done on my car is the exhaust. Also the spare and jack took a hike as well.

The chip I am using claims 14-15lbs of boost. I estimate my hp to be upwards of 350 right now. Unfortunately the closest AWD dyno is about 160+ miles each way, and I dont think I will be making that trip anytime soon.
