pissed off at dealer

ok i've had my cl non type s since june. both headlamps have been replace rotors turned down rear bumper painted 2X top half of drivers leather replace. my appointment today was for turning down the rotors, done, replacing passenger headlamp, done, replacing the bottom half of drivers leather seat, NOT done. it was on the list of things they were to do . instead of new leather the notes say that they replaced a peice of the tracking????? they say they missed it!!! how the f@ck do u forget????reading acura.


the other problem is the windshield. the 2nd time their "bumper" guy painted the rear bumper as a "we owe" (the 1st time it was way too dark) there was tremendous overspray all over the windows. when i picked up the car it was dark and was starting to drizzle and they were closing. so doing like i would do normally is to turn on the wipers, and what do i hear??almost like sandpaper scratching the glass!! it was dark and wet so i could do nothing. so a few days later i get back in to drive and in the morning light i see all this paint on the windows, great!!! i call em up and tell the situation, now i live 2 hours from any acura dealer, he says try steel wool. or we will send a guy. so i did the steel wool, cool it takes off the paint problem solved, at least i thought.
here the paint that was dried on the wipers put fine scratches on the window. so if you are driving into the sun it scatters the light and gives this horrible glare like a 10 year old car. i tell the dealer about it and i say i want it replace b/c the bumper guy oversprayed. so i pick up the car after a 2 hr ride and they say that he checked it out and said it wasnt from him BULLSH*T. they said that they checked with everyone and said they would not cover it, i tell him that it is unacceptable and he gave me the used car managers # which i will call tommorrow.
so am i being anal about my car and am i unreasonable about wanting the winshield replaced. it was not scratched wheni bought it. and who do i complain to about them forgetting about the leather seat.

MAN are they jerking you. Document everything, step by step. Take pictures with a good digital camera. Then call Acura corporate and tell them everything. Don't even try to f*ck around with the dealer again. They probably farmed the job out to a local body shop that did a horrible job on your car. They should have REMOVED the bumper and shot it in a spray booth. There NEVER should have been over-spray on your car. If there is over-spray on your wind-shield, there is definitely over-spray on the hood too.

called the "used car manger" this morning and told him the situation. he tells me he would like to see the car on monday. i tell him the car was there for 2 days and that i already took off work on friday to pick up the car and its impossible to come monday and the only avail. day is next friday.
told him it is unacceptable to forget to replace the leather, he said that they may not have recieved the shipment. i tell them it was to be shipped overnite with the headlight. F.
so i get to wait for their call on monday *ssholes

they only replaced the back of the leather seats for me and said the bottoms were fine.. oh wells...

Keep the pressure on'em, don't let the fuckers screw you. Call the manager every day if you have to and wear them out.

i have been very content and calm when i talk to them, but i don't know if you have seen ANGER MANAGEMENT with sandler, well you know when he is in his 1st class and he is asked repeatedly what kind of person he is and after the 3rd or 4th time, he starts twitching and shaking his foot and finally freaks out on nicholson, well that is going to be me once they tell me sorry we can't help you.
generally my patience is better than some but it is wearing thin

thankfully i did not have to bitch as a last resort. on sat i called the used car dealer and told him the situation, he tells me i'll receive a call on monday. 7:58 i get v-mail from reading acura that the parts have been ordered!!!!
yeah baby!!
they're replacing the windshield and the bottom drivers leather that they missed the 1st time.
readjusting the headlights a bit higher and checking out a banging sound that i hear when the car is started. took the car down this morning get up at 6:15 and make it there for 8:30 about 130 miles. i can now get there in 1 hr 55 min and record for me.

and the best part i get a new acura loaner instead of the POS enterprise malibu and monte carlo(biggest f'en POS on the planet)
they give me the TSX
its no cl but it's sweet!!.
i pick up the car on friday, another early morning and i hope to find nothing wrong with their work.
the only body shop that i have found to do the work right the 1st time is Dellingers auto body in mechanicsburg, they are HIGHLY recomended!!! my g/f's tl had a minor dng on the hood and it was perfect
i keep my fingers crossed!

Im very surprised to hear this, becuase READING ACURA always receives acura's highest award for customer service. I almost bought my car from their but my local dealership agreed to the same offer once I threatened to take my business elsewhere.
