Pilot A/S SOLID in the snow

As the un-forecasted snow began to pile up here, my wife and I were out enjoying a night at my sister's house.

It's about a 30-mile drive home and the streets were snow covered. This was the first time I truly had a chance to try the Pilot A/S tires in the snow.

They're great!!! I never felt uncomfortable in the car. Little to no sliding, and the VSA worked very nicely.

Once I got into our subdivision, i TRIED to break the car loose, but I couldn't. The tires worked well!!!

Merry Christmas all.

Scrib I have the 235/45 and I have nothing but good things to say about these tires. Absolutely no worries in the rain or in the snow I purposely test drive the car under those condition and results are better than expected

I agree, the Pilot A/S were very solid in this bad weather, passed many a SUV on the highway. This is the first chance I had with these tires in the snow/ice (missed the last storm, was in Florida ) Definitely much better than the stocks.

Bad news-I got a flat tire yesterday on the stock tires.

Good news-Today, I'm replacing the stock tires with Pilot A/S.

I had 43,000 on the stock tires and was looking at replacing the tires in the Spring. This mishap just moved up the decision. I'm getting the Pilot A/S based on the ringing endorsements I've seen on this site.

Don't foget the sumotomo+ for about $90 each at Tirerack.com. They're all season and are great!

Funny story...

Just got back from doing a little shopping, and I was on a side-street that wasn't plowed all that well. Behind me, a stupid punk kid in a brand new Accord. Blasting the music and riding my ass!!!

The BEST thing about the Pilots A/S is their ability to THROW snow. Even with the mud guards, the CL throws the white shit everywhere out of the rear.

SO.....

I floored it on the rather unpaved road and threw snow everywhere on the Acccord. My wife was even laughing because she was less then thrilled with the kid kissing my bumper.

Love those Pilot A/S!!!!
