PICS of Dirty AC filter after 30k and 2 years
Heres some pis of my dirty ass AC filter after 30k miles and almost 2 years.
The filter you can buy from autocarparts or the dealer and its located right behind the glove box. Took about 20 min to do.
Dealer wanted 150 bucks to change the thing along w/ the 30k miles maint.

30 k miles or 2 yrs . I did it in some 20 mins u need only a screwdriver... very easy to do... Just unbolt 2 screws drop the glove box and you get access to the filters...
the old filters were disgusting! aweful... I ordered mine from AHmotors.com for $10 each...

1. The price that was quoted was WAY TOO HIGH! I've got a quote and its for around $30 (with $20 for the oil change and a quick look-see under the car). Total time == less than 2 hours (probably time 1 - 1.25 hours).
2. Depending on the area, those things can get pretty dirty. I keep Hepa filters running in my place (they have carbon pre-filters) and the Hepas are normally good for around 1-2 years. Mine last 6-months being in an urban area. So, if you are on the freeway a lot or in a "dirty" urban area, you might want to do the change early to be able to get idea on subsequent change intervals...
YMMV
