Picked up my CL Type S tonight...

I picked up my Silver Type S tonight. No NAV, no spoiler, no mud guards, no extra weight! When test driving I never took it past 70. It seemed like it had more than adequate power, but then I drove it home on the Turnpike. WHY DOES IT GET SOOOOOO SLOW????? WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL THE POWER UPSTAIRES? THE EXTRA INTAKE????? Seriously though it does really hit a wall at about 90 and when I am flooring it I feel the gas guage falling quickly. Besides that I love the car. Is there a way to turn on the parking lights and fog lights without the headlights???

Congratz!!

Our cars are strong up to about 100 mph, but that's when it all goes downhill...

And no, you can't turn the fog lights on without turning on the headlights. You can get the switch from www.autocarparts.com and wire it yourself if you want...

Congrats on the new car! I picked mine up last thursday and i love it more everyday. From what i've heard you won't get the FULL feel of the car until you get past the 1000 mile mark because the engine will be broken in and thus allowing you to really take advantage of everything it has to offer. Gas Gauge falls quickly because you are flooring it and the engine is using the V-tec

Congrats man! Yeah, I noticed the slow effect as well when it was new, but I believe its because it needs to be broken in. Dont force it too much the first 750, just cruise like a pimp and after that you'll be good. Good luck and welcome aboard.

I guess you didn’t get to the section in the manual labeled “Break-in Period” yet.

I asked the dealer twice about break-in. His words "this car comes broken in- those days of feathering the throttle for 500 miles are over." Did not read the manual yet- think I'll look at it this weekend.

It sounds to me like your dealer is anxious to service your car.

Read the book..........
