Performance: VSA on vs. VSA off

Hello again to all:

Just wondering if anyone knows the numbers for VSA vs. non-VSA acceleration.

I've been doing a little unscientific testing myself and found that it makes a material difference. I've found it espeically evident when you take off from the line (with VSA on) and get a little tire spin. I guess you all know the feeling - the caution light in the dash flashes and it really feels as though the power is being cut.

Just wondering if anyone knows exactly how much is being lost. I guess this is a question with many variables such as how much tire spin and how hard you are accelerating, but I was just aiming for an estimate.

Have fun, everyone!

regards,

gil

hey fastvtechcl:

i noticed you're in charlotte. You wouldn't happen to have the silver CL-S with wing and tinted that I keep running into, would you?

I don't notice many CLs in Charlotte. We need to get a group together and have a meet.

cheers

The loss depends on your car's setup (stock or modified). The biggest difference is with the stock tires on blacktop.

With really sticky tires, there isn't nearly as much difference.
