Performance meter help - G-Tech etc.

Does anyone have one of the newer ones i.e :

G-Tech Compettition Pro

Escort G Meter

Beltronics

They all go for around $249, just wondering if anyone has any opinions or facts based on use. Thanks.

0-60 is not really that accurate, because to be off by .1 of a second is being off. Now as for HP and TQ I must say that it is very accurate.

There is a new firmware update for the competition.

Also the PC software is out now.

*WHEN* the unit is used correctly it works great. However most people just toss it in their car and drive. Having it level and calibrated makes a big difference. Yes, it says you dont need to have it 100% level. But I found the better you had it the more accurate your readings would be.

Also dialing in your weight to the LB is important. I have seen differences in measurements when changing the weight. Which didn't seem to effect the older g-tech unit (besides 1/4 mile). But it does this one.

The TACH and the SHIFTLIGHT(S) on the g-tech make it almost woth it by itself with the slushbox in the CLS.
